WEEK 7

Title: Program mail inside raspberry pi

I need to install software inside raspberry pi for sending mail. I using ssmtp which is an easy and good solution for sending mail using command line or using Python Script:

1. Install two libraries for sending mail using SMTP, below are the command line:
     


2. After installing the libraries i need to open smmtp.comp file and edit this configuration file as shown in the picture below.

WEEK 6

Title: Install hardware on raspberry pi

Objective: To install pi camera, motion sensor and mail inside raspberry pi.

In this project i need to connect PI camera module and PIR sensor to Raspberry PI 4. PI camera is connected at the camera slot Raspberry PI and PIR sensor is connected to GPIO pin. A LED also connected to GPIO pin through 1k resistor




Raspberry PI configuration :

1. Using Python language for the program.
2. Install Pi camera library file for run this project in Raspberry pi.
3. Enable Raspberry PI camera using software configuration
3. Using ssmtp for sending mail using command line or using Python script.

Conclusion: On this week i sucsess to send mail from Raspberry PI.

WEEK 5

Title: Getting started with raspberry pi 4 B+

Objective: To connect raspberry pi with laptop using Ethernet cable (rj45)

Step 1:

Download raspberry pi os which is raspbian at raspberrypi.org. After that transfer the fille to sd card.



Step 2:

Create ssh file at sd card than eject the sd card and put in at raspberry pi.




Turn on the raspberrypi using type c cable and connect the raspberry pi with laptop using Ethernet cable


Step 3:

Use advanced ip scanner to find raspberrypi ip

Step 4:

Use mobaxterm as a host to dislpay the raspberry pi.

write ip address or name for example raspberrypi.mshome.net inside the remote host than click ok.


Done. This are display of raspberry pi on my laptop, so now i can control the raspberry pi using my laptop.

WEEK 4

Title: Change title of FYP project

Objective: To make sure my FYP project have some electrical concept on it.

This week i meet my supervisor to had some discussion about my idea to change the title of FYP project.
My supervisor agree with it so do i, and i can proceed to it.
Old Title: Code Alert Residential Monitoring System Using Bluetooth
New Title: Code Alert Monitoring System Using Raspberry PI.

On this new project i make some change and addition new component. This new project i will build a home security system using PIR sensor and PI camera. This system will detect the presences of intruder and quickly alert the user by sending an email. This mail will also contain the picture of the intruder. This system will use raspberry pi to control the whole system. The raspberry pi will be supply using solar power and battery.
